Ding repair, custom shaping, and surf lessons/rentals run by owner Jamie Ellert, shaping boards since the 1970s. Repairs everything from basic dings to broken noses/tails, snapped boards, and fin box damage, on both standard and epoxy construction (epoxy repairs priced at a surcharge). Jamie relaunched Open Ocean in 2010 after years away, including a stint ghost-shaping in Hawaii. Now mobile -- he can come to you for custom surfboard consultations, ding repair, lessons, or rentals.
